Many runners experience the side stitch while running, symptoms range from a sharp jabbing pain just under the rib, a pinch in the side, or even a heavy ache on the side of the abdomen. The longer you run, the more intense the pain becomes. There are many remedies to prevent a side stitch, I find not eating within the hour of run helps.
